No pain No GRAIN

Gluten-free and grain-free diets have become increasingly popular and sometimes recommended for us over the years. More recently the pet community has also caught on to this diet. Mostly because of concerns with food allergies or the high amounts of carbohydrates in traditional pet foods.

Choosing a Grain Free diet for your pets can be challenging with so many options on the market. Just think about all the different diets we have for ourselves! Like keto, paleo, plant-based, vegan, pescatarian, or vegetarian! There are so many options to choose from and not one option is ever “the best choice” solely because it depends on our own needs. Such as our age , weight, health issues etc.

This same concept applies to your pets' food. Just like us, you want your fur babies to eat the best food that helps them grow and live healthy.

What actually is a Grain Free diet though ? Well it’s any pet food made without wheat, corn, rice or other grains. But our pets still need carbohydrates for energy like us. So grain free dog foods use alternative sources of carbs like potatoes and pea flour.

There has been plenty of arguments and research on if Grain Free is actually good for our pets or not. Honestly, there aren't enough actual facts that can answer a yes or no definitely.

Below is a quick reference guide to help you choose what’s the best diet for your pets.

Things to consider before selecting any type of a pet food include :

* Allergies

* Health Conditions

* Digestive Issues

* Age

* Activity Levels

* Reproductive Status

Your pet might thrive on a grain-friendly diet or not. The key is to keep an eye and see how your pet reacts while also discussing your concerns with your family’s vet. Hope this helps and to shop Grain and non Grain pet food visit us at De’Vora.us!
